Advertising and ideas

Does the e-basingstoke forum advertise anywhere?? There are tons of websites that you can list for free on, and also lots of places to put free adds in, i'm sure once more people know about this site they would be happy to post.
Do you have any monies for paid advertising such as popley matters and chineham chat etc?

Good free places to put up notices are churches, scout huts, villiage halls commuminty centres etc etc....Has this been done??
I don't mind sticking a few posters up if we have any?

Hi superwoman, thank you for your suggestions.

The e-basingstoke.com forums do not advertise anywhere at the moment. The forums are just a small part of the website, and have only started to pick up the pace in the past few months (big thank you to Bianco for his superb work!).

The other problem we have is that e-basingstoke.com is a non-profit site (infact it is an expensive site as it costs £££'s to run with no income!). The site is funded by other sites and projects that we run. This means that we have no budget whatsoever to advertise at the moment.

I will investigate getting some posters produced though. We did have loads of leaflets produced, but these are a bit out of date now. We were looking at doing a mail-drop to a number of houses in and around the town. I will keep you updated on progress!

I'm not a great fan of advertising specifically for products in general, but I am interested in local products and other services. I 'plug' any site that I see as useful to the community that deserve it.

If you have a good builder install your new conservatory then we should all know about it, or a local shop that goes out of it's way to provide a good service then we should know about that too. It's only right.

how about some game's as they work well in other fourm's i no some people think they are just a way of pushing up post's but they are fun
